XMAS + DENT + SNOW = MAGIC

Christmas week in Dent, the Yorkshire Dales with us four, plus Chrissie, Rob, Max (6), Louis (6), Joy, Dave and Eve (6). The snow came down as we drove up, and we needed a tow for the last bit to get to the cottage. Being snowed in was a bonus, and we sledged for Dentdale, made igloos and played a lot of Boggle.

Things are buff in Kenyon Clough

Wheelbarrows, cheesecake, tummies, koalas, buttercups, big salmon...a lovely time at Katie, Dave and Lily's house way oop narth.

Heaven in North Devon

Heaven in North Devon for Jane, Dips, Libby, Flo, Joy, Dave and Eve. Despite the rest of the country flooding that week, we were lucky enough in Lynton and Lynmouth just to have torrential rain for just two days, giving us days and days on the beach, rockpooling in the sun and jumping over the waves. Libby and Eve had a ball, made sure that they had the same of everything ("She's got a princess plate and I want the same...") and Flo crawled around saying "ah!!" ("cow"), "ah!!" ("pig"), etc. We all ate fudge, ice cream, fish and chips and cream teas, and worried about the consequences later. Wonderful.
